We Resolve,

  • the United States must make ending genocide in Darfur, and protecting the lives of the people of Sudan a priority.
  • the United States must work with the international community to impose targeted sanctions on any Sudanese government official or rebel leader who commits atrocities or impededs the peacemaking or protection process.
  • the United States must deploy a high-level diplomatic team to work full-time in the region to ensure that a fair and lasting peace is forged.
  • citizens of [YOUR STATE] must continue to demand that their elected officials respond in a meaningful and timely manner to prevent and stop genocide wherever it threatens.
