Currently Nevada's Public Employee Retirement System has 1.1 million dollars invested into companies listed as high offenders by the Sudan Divestment Task Force. Their stance is that the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act did not provide safe harbor to public fiduciaries such as themselves. What would you do as president to help ensure the divestment of not just Nevada's Retirement system, but all state retirement systems from high offending companies in Sudan?

He talked about his work on legislation to help encourage divestment at the state and federal level and said that as president he would encourage and promote divestment as tool to help end the genocide in Darfur. He mentioned that divestment played a key role in helping to end apartheid in South Africa. He said that divestment was a tool that could not only help pressure the Sudanese government but offers us a powerful alternative to a military solution in Darfur.
