Ask the Candidates is a joint project of:
Genocide Intervention Network
The Genocide Intervention Network envisions a world in which the global community is willing and able to protect civilians from genocide and mass atrocities. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities with the tools to prevent and stop genocide. GI-Net is mobilizing a permanent anti-genocide constituency that has the power to pressure policymakers, creating an incentive for taking action against genocide and a political cost for failing to do so. Our projects include:
- Civilian Protection Program — allows citizens to fund projects that directly protect civilians on the ground where genocide is being committed.
- 1-800-Genocide — an anti-genocide hotline which connects citizens to their elected officials by entering their zip code.
- DarfurScores.org — a congressional scorecard on Darfur which grades each member of Congress on their record on ending the Darfur genocide.
